Associated species: Arbutus menziesii, Lithocarpus densiflora, Castanopsis sp., Ceanothus incanus, Vaccinium sp., Pteris aquilina lanuginosa. No 10 had five times the exposure. Mendocino County.

Remains of a western yellow pine. Redwood-Douglas fir type on west slope of ridge between Dry and Cumiskey Creeks. Land cleared for grazing. In center tall tree on left is Pinus ponderosa on right Sequoia sempervirens. Dead trees to right of redwood are girdled Douglas fir. Most of remaining western yellow pines on this ridge have been recently girdled. Associated hardwoods are Black and Tanbark oaks.
